 →BLU INTERVIEW JAPANESE VERSION Q. Please introduce your self. A. My name is Blu. Q. Whats your home town? What's your home town like? A. My home town is Falkirk in Scotland. My home town is very small and very normal, but steeped in Scottish history. 
 Q. Give us a brief your background? A. I come from a family of two brothers one being my twin and a younger sister. My mum and dad are still alive and my whole family live in Scotland except me! Q. What environmental did you grow up? A. I was the only girl in my family for ages b4 my sis came along, so I'm a bit of a tomboy. I danced from the age of 6 and was involved in the children's and youth theatre's that went on there. And then I trained as a ballet dancer full time in Edinburgh b4 I moved to London to be a professional dancer! Q. How did you meet R&B or Hiphop? A. A friend of mine dragged me to my first Hip-Hop club in London and I lost my mind!! lol It was all over for me after that. I never wanted to be a dancer again or be in theatre for that matter, I didn't like the music in theatre and didn't care too much for the people either. Everyone was so false and there was a realness that I got from listening to hip-hop and hanging out with the peeps who listened to it. I just couldn't get that with dancing.  Q. When did you start a Singer? A. Well after been blown away from my first experience at a hip-hop club which was about ten or so years ago I had decided I was going to become a singer/songwriter and find my own style. I had sung all my life anyway so I gave up most of my dancing and spent a LOT of time searching, practising and listening to different singers and artists till I found my own voice,....... It took a while! Q. Who/what are your influences? and whats your favorite artists? A. I am influenced by Life, the truth and peeps who have faced adversity and won!! Thats such a hard question to answer....All I can say is that right now I am influenced by Radiohead!! I absolutely Love Radiohead and I love Thom Yorke, his voice and his lyrics! nuff said really! Q. When you write a lyric and a song, what are you more inspired from? A. Hmm I would have to say the music that is sent to me and that I've chosen to write over. Any trak that I choose to write over has got to conjure up some kinda emotion or feeling in me. You see I'm a vibes person and if I dont get a vibe from a trak then I wont be able to write over it, it just wont inspire me and the lyrics or hook just wont happen for me. Its very instinctive the way I write..  Q. How would you descibe your music style? A. Eclectic Alternative Hip-Hop. Q. Please explain about your album concept？ A. You know there really is no concept for this album, the truth is I was about to give up on singing and a friend forced me to go on myspace which I did and I was inundated with peeps wanting to collaborate with me! I actually had no thoughts about doing an album. It just happened and as it happened I was contacted by some great artists who's beats I liked. Q. How did you meet and work with featuring artists? A. Well I met every single one of them on myspace.. We all just connected and as they say....the rest is history! Ha ha I've been dying to say that for ages!! Q. Would you give us your recommend songs from the album for listner? A. Listen to them all!!! They're all brilliant!! Q. What's the most important thing when your make a Lyric/Song? A. Depends on what kind of track it is but I would definately say the Hook and the melody for me and then the lyrics! It really depends on the track.  Q. Who are you usually working together with? A. I work a lot with my producer and studio partner Pete Lewinson. He knows me really well and I trust him and his expertise. He's also a damn fine drummer! Q. Where is your activity (performing) area? A. Well I have been doing live accoustic gigs around London,but I'm waiting to see how the album goes as I'd like to get my band together and I'd love to tour internationally,especially Japan and USA!! Q. Whats the most important things to be the Artists? A. Ah thats easy....Be true to yourself and follow your own path!! Q. What do you think about current HIPHOP market in UK? Which area and What kind of style is more hot there? A. There isn't one!!...is there? To be honest with you I dont know,I dont really listen to much british music except Radiohead and certain artists on myspace!! lol Q. Any particular Artists and Producer that you would like to work with in the future? A. Yeah I'd like to work with a few of the producers that are on Standing with giants again. And I'd love to collaborate with Thom Yorke but I guess I'll be waiting for a while for that to happen!  Q. Whats your next project? are you planning to get working with someone? A. I'm hoping to do a whole album with Aalo Guha. Just the two of us. (*Track 1, 5 and 10 which are on Blu's album produced by Aalo Guha) Q. Any last words? A. Its been awesome!!
